March 26 Microsoft Dynamics NAV 5.0 DemosAmazing. Not even 3 days in Dallas, and the new NAV client has already been demoed a couple of times.
And may I add proudly, it has been demoed succesfully.
You thought we were coming with PowerPoint/Flash demos? Think again... The Product Unit Manager has shown live-and-kicking code, built from the bits in our source control system. I think the amount of functiontionality presented has been impressive, ranging from the new and very friendly homepage and task pages, the interaction with different infoparts (Mappoint, pictures, charts, stacks), and the generation of reports. Gues what BillG and Darren L. themselves are going to be showing in Monday's Keynote?
No wonder why the 1'000.000 license sold is a celebration to the future, not a nostalgic one (ONE MILLION, that is. Impressive!) Imagine how many new customers we will get with the new architecture, the new controls, the new look, the great performance, the total .NET-ization of NAV!
The NAV sessions have been packed, and that shows what kind of presence the whole team has here. It was great to see that many partners and customers at the general session and feel the excitement when they were presented with the new things (Have you seen the new reports are sortable by column?). These guys really know which innovations bring value to their business.
I'll have a presentation tomorrow about my good and fancy Employee Portal. Come and take a look. I promise some goodies regarding user-based filtering...
Cheers!
